12 Series UK Launch Event
OVERVIEW
xiaomi's new phone launched in London
Xiaomi is a Chinese designer and manufacturer of consumer electronics and related software, home appliances, and household items. This event aims to invite xiaomi partners, fans, influencers and presses in London to get to know and experience xiaomi's new products. The event site has a variety of product displays, shooting spaces, beverage services, etc. The atmosphere inside the venue was high, and the invitees actively participated in the product experience, which achieved an excellent brand promotion.
Through the analysis of the theme of this event and careful perusal of xiaomi's design specifications, I simulated and designed the whole experience process of the invitees, and made brand customisation on each procedure. During the event, I also served as an event assistant, working with xiaomi staff, art director and photographer to provide a better service experience for the guests.

REFLECTION
Xiaomi is a mature brand with stringent design specifications. I had made the design specification of Ctrip before, so it was relatively easy for me to follow the design specification.
It is quite a sense of achievement to confirm the design repeatedly with the customer.
I designed more than two versions each time and explained the advantages and disadvantages of different versions in advance, so that customers could better understand why there are different versions and how to make trade-offs. The practice has proved that such a way of communication greatly speeds up customer decision-making.
In addition, I also have a deeper understanding of suppliers like making logo walls, making devices, renting furniture, etc.
At first, the things I needed to do were a blur in my mind. Fortunately, we have a senior art director on the team who has cooperated with many suppliers for a long time. Under his guidance, we finished making all the items before the event started. Because of this experience, I learned from my partner how to finalize the corresponding supplier in the UK and how to negotiate and manage the cost and time of production. To communicate with suppliers was strange to me before, but now I feel it is interesting.
